    Who we are

We are a French startup located 53 rue Dareau, 75014 PARIS - FRANCE. AmpliSIM was created in 2015 by two engineers specialized in Air Quality and passionated by meteorology and transport-dispersion in the atmosphere.

At AmpliSIM, we believe that, regarding environment, knowledge is the main hurdle that prevents good decisions. And numerical simulation is a fabulous tool to actually see, understand and predict various impacts on the environment. Sadly, it is complex and lengthy to set-up and use.

So we decided to transform numerical simulation into a SaaS web solution to render it fast and easy to use.

    Our strengths

We noticed that, regarding numerical simulation, we used to spend most of the time gathering the data, changing coordinates or file formats, making mistakes between local or UCT time, or having trouble with computing clusters (library problems, availability of computing power or manipulation of Slurm), instead of focusing on modeling. So we designed our web platform to perform your modeling from end to end:

    • Input data, such as topography, landuse or meteorology are provided worldwide,
    • Calculation are performed transparently, either on public or private calculation clusters, according to your needs,
    • Results are presented directly on maps and readily available to be used.

Through our experience, we saw also how complex it was to switch between modeling systems (different set-up, calculation process, etc.) or to run once more a case from last year because the version of the modeling system changed or it was run by another person in the team. Hence, we developped our platform so that:

    • Modeling process is similar for every modeling system, being Gaussian, Lagrangian CFD, etc.,
    • Navigating among or exploring previous cases is easy, and it is accordingly easy to re-run an old scenario or to create an alternative one,
    • Sharing simulations among team members is possible.

Every modeling system in the platforme can be used for:

    • Impact assessment, with statistical results such as mean, centiles, threshold crossing frequencies, etc.,
    • Accidental releases and short term consequencies, including forecasting, complex source terme and time varying maps,
    • Automatic monitoring and forecasting of the impact of a facility.

Last but not least, every modeling system is available through a normalized API and readily available:

    • For automation (testing, ensemble modeling, etc.),
    • As a web service for integration into your specific in-house platform.

We noticed that our customer spend less time and less money to perform their modeling, while improving the quality of their simulations. Engineers using our platform declare to reduce by a factor ranging from 40% up to 80% the time spent on the modeling .

    Use cases

    Our customers include:

    • Engineering companies that are conducting numerical simulations for Air Impact Assessment,
    • Industrials or Public Authorities that want to monitor closely the impact on Air Quality of a facility,
    • Emergency Response Team to anticipate the impact of an accidental airborne release.

Among our customers we count also Business Units / Laboratories that own an in-house modeling system. We are thrilled to help them:

    • Improve drastically their user experience,
    • Increase their user community.
